Moonlight Sonata: Oil-Painting Nails

When was the last time you went for a seaside vacation?
Do you miss the beautiful moonlight shining and flickering over the vast waters?
If a real trip is currently hard to get, why not invite the scenery onto your nails?
Check this tutorial for an oil-painting nail design, and let’s enjoy the Moonlight Sonata!

Step-to-Step Tutorial

Apply one layer of KADS Two-in-One Stamping Polish C35 as the base color.

Apply KADS Peel-Off Polish for the later cleaning.

Take a sponge and dab onto it a moderate amount of KADS Two-in-One Stamping Polish C35, KADS Stamping Polish 17 and KADS Stamping Polish 02.

Gently pat them onto the nail.

This is how it looks.

Wipe KADS Stamping Polish 20 partly off the brush, then dry brush onto the stamper with only small amount of it.

Then stamp onto the nail as the shining and flickering moonlight.

This is how it looks.

Put a moderate amount of KADS Two-in-One Stamping Polish C35 and KADS Stamping Polish 17 onto the pattern needed. Scrap the polish with a scraper for about three times to make a natural gradation. Quickly pick up the design with a stamper. Stamp the design onto the nail.

Using KADS Stamping Polish 17, KADS Two-in-One Stamping Polish C01 and C35, pick up the same pattern and stamp onto the nail again in the same way. Do not overlap since it looks better with layers.

Stamp a second layer of KADS Stamping Polish 20 if you want the moonlight more visible.

Clean the edges with a flat head brush dipped with KADS Polish Remover, then peel off the KADS Peel-Off Polish. Use a cotton swab for the details cleaning.

Finish off with a top coat.
