How to Create Dip Color Nails? A Step by Step Guide

How to Create Dip Color Nails? A Step by Step Guide

Do you interested to know how to create dip nails colors at home? Well! Even the best-quality nail gels chips inevitably after days of application so that at-home manicures can save you a lot of money. That's why, in recent years, nail care companies have begun to market at-home gel nail kits, promising long-lasting, salon-quality hard gel polish manicures at a fraction of the cost. But, according to many DIY manicurists, there's a newish at-home manicure procedure that's even better: dip powder nail kits.

What is a Dip Powder Manicure?

Dip powder nails, also known as SNS nails, are long-lasting and without requiring UV light to harden, unlike gel nails. The color comes from dipping your nails into a finely milled, colored powder before adhering with adhesive. The result is a beautiful, evenly covered manicure that was previously only possible with the help of professionals – until now.

If you're wondering whether dip powder nails are better than gel nails, the main difference between the two is how long they last. Dip powder manicures usually last longer than gel manicures. Dip powder manicures also don't necessitate the use of UV light-curing lamps.

How Do You Create Dip Color Nails at Home?

Dip powder manicures, in case you haven't heard, are on the increase, and they're becoming more popular every year. So, what is it about them that makes people so enamored with them?

Dip powder has no odor. Best of all, it doesn't require the use of a UV/LED lamp while still providing the same long-lasting results as a gel manicure. Not to mention that it takes half the time to apply as acrylics. Here is how you can create dip color nails:

1. Push the cuticles back and then file the nail into the desired shape.

2. Remove oil and grime from the nail bed with an Alcohol pad.

3. Apply the base coat after your nails have been cleaned and dried.

4. Dip into powder color and remove excess with a dust brush.

5. Apply a second coat of base and dip once more. Double dunking ensures full coverage and a firmer finish for a chip-resistant manicure.

6. Then, apply an activator to the nails, which will let it dry.

7. Finally, apply the top coat which will turn the color powder into a lacquered shine.

How to Do Dip Color Nails?

With KADS Nail Art Dip Color Nails Kit, you can get super-stylish, super-long-lasting nails.

Step 1: Make the surface as smooth as possible. Create an even surface for the powder to be applied to your nails by using a manicured block or a nail drill. Push your cuticles back and trim them, but don't use cuticle oils because they will prevent the powder from adhering.

Step 2: On your first nail, apply the first layer. Apply a single coat of base coat in a thin, even layer. Stop just before the cuticle. Because this is what the powder will stick to, make sure your nail is completely covered while maintaining the layer as thin as possible. This will make it easier to apply the powder evenly and smoothly.

Step 3: It's time to paint your first fingernail! Immediately dip your first finger into the powder at a 45-degree angle to cover it. For even coverage, make sure your entire nail is exposed. Remove any extra powder with the side of your finger and gently tap it away.

Steps 2 and 3 should be repeated as you work your way across both hands, one nail at a time. Apply a second thin, uniform base coat to each nail for complete coverage. Repeat the technique for a second layer, removing any excess powder with a brush. We wiped away extra powder from our nails and hands using a loose brush.

Step 4: Apply an activator to each nail. The dipping powder color will darken and become more opaque as time goes on. Allow drying completely. Make sure the edges are covered, and the tips of the nails are capped.

After your nails have dried, apply the top coat.
